Site Advertising

The three community web sites do not receive any funding from local councils or other organisations. The sites are completely independent, and I am perfectly happy for this to continue.

However, it does cost a couple of hundred pounds a year per site to maintain the various domain names, to rent space on a professional server, to pay the telephone bills, to fund the occasional purchases of web software, plus all the other minor expenses necessary to run and maintain a community web site. If possible, I need the sites to become self-financing.

I am therefore offering a range of advertising options which are detailed below. If nothing fits your requirements, then please make me a reasonable offer and I'll have a quiet think about it.

Top-page Banner Ads will normally be set in "Page Sponsored By" format (see the top of this page for general positioning). I reserve the right to vary the final design/colour used.

One top-page Banner Advertisement (approx. 600 x 85 pixels against full width surround) on
any one internal page of your choice: £10.00 per month, subject to a minimum period of three months or £100.00 per year (equivalent to £1.93 per week).

One top-page Banner Advertisement (approx. 600 x 85 pixels against full width surround) on
any two internal pages of your choice: £15.00 per month, subject to a minimum period of three months or £150.00 per year (equivalent to £1.45 per ad per week ).

Prices quoted are inclusive of basic artwork costs.

Full Page Advertisements
Full Page Advertisements

Full-page advertisement pages are mainly provided to link from your small ads or banner advertisement(s) and allow you advertise your product or service in greater detail.

A current example would be the Driftway Cottages advertisement on the Arrington site.

The cost depends on the amount of work involved, but a typical page would cost £50.00 per year 'rental' plus any initial 'set-up' charge. The set-up charge would be negligible if page is a simple text page or if screen-ready HTML artwork is supplied by the customer.
