Beer Festival at the Queen Adelaide

A three-day "Charity Do" Beer Festival at the Queen Adelaide pub in Croydon. It might possibly involve beer at some point and may be in aid of charity. And that's all I know about it, really.


Saturday 25 September

102nd Gransden & District Agricultural Society Show

Being held at Great Gransden from 9.00 am (Marquees open at 10.15 am). Bring all the family for a wonderful day out. Attractions include: floral exhibition, rare breeds of cattle and sheep, poultry and pigeons, memorabilia of the agricultural society, horse competitions, parade of foxhounds, donkeys, craft and trade stands, egg painting, refreshments, dog show, dog agility, vintage machinery, home fare and produce, best corn competition, handicrafts and flower displays, competitions for adults and children, flight simulator.

Admission £7.00 (accompanied children under 11 are free). Free car park.

Sunday 26 September

Orwell Harvest Festival

Shared service with the Methodist congregation in St Andrew's Parish Church, Orwell. The service will start at 11.00 am and this will be followed by the Harvest Lunch (Tickets for the Lunch will be available from usual sources). This year the money donated at the service will go to Christian Aid and gifts of produce and flowers will be distributed locally and sent to Jimmy's Night Shelter in Cambridge.

Arrington Harvest Festival

Shared service with the Croydon congregation in All Saints Parish Church, Croydon. The service will start at 11.00 am. There will also be a joint Harvest Supper hosted in Arrington on Saturday 2 October. See village notice boards or contact Don Hollands (01223 207547) for details.

in the Pavilion, Town Green Road, Orwell.
