FACILITIES:

Wimpole Village Hall offers:-

• A Main Hall that can accommodate 165 people seated in rows (lecture style), 125 people for dancing or 100 people seated at tables.
• A modern, well equipped kitchen area.
• Bar area.
• Limited car parking is available.

The hall holds a Public Entertainments Licence, which confirms that it meets all the latest fire and safety standards.

HIRE RATES: (effective from February 19, 2001)

Tables and chairs are available for hire to parish residents for functions elsewhere at the following rates:-

Tables per day: £1.00 each.
Chairs per day:   20p each.

The half-barrel barbecue may also be hired at a rate of £2 per day.

Organisations with representatives on the Village Hall Management Committee may use the Hall in the evening (after 6.00 pm) for meetings at a special rate of £5.00.

HIRE CONDITIONS:

1. All rates are inclusive of reasonable use of heating, lighting and water.
2. Special rates are available for contract bookings from groups meeting regularly at the hall.
3. Commercial hire is by negotiation with the Village Hall Management Committee.
4. A £10 booking deposit and a £10 cleaning fee (refundable if the hall is left clean and tidy) is payable at the time of booking. The balance of fees are payable on or before 7 days prior to the event.
5. If alcohol is to be provided a "bond" of £100 is to be paid in advance; this is refundable if there is no damage.
6. Bookings for 18th and 21st birthday parties will only be accepted after Committee approval and for these events a "bond" of £200 is to be paid in advance; this is refundable if there is no damage.
7. Equipment belonging to the Mother Goose Playgroup, including tables and chairs MUST NOT be used.

Special Condition:

It is a condition of hire that the organiser makes a public announcement at the beginning and just before the end of each event, warning those present that the A603 main road outside the Village Hall is fast and dangerous and that great care should be taken when leaving the car park.

Wimpole Village Hall is a NO SMOKING venue.
